Ride to Gold Creek Station

Hello Sno-Jammers,

This Saturday Jan 4th, I will be hosting a ride going from Crystal Springs sno-park over to Gold Creek station for lunch, but only If the snow conditions are favorable. Things may drastically change depending on snow!  We will be leaving the snopark at 8:00am.

If the snow conditions are good enough, we will head east out of the crystal springs snopark and arrive at gold creek around 12-1pm. we will eat lunch and fuel our sleds and head back via the 1913 road over greens pass. This is going to be a big loop thru the mountains. This ride will encompass groomed trails and off-trail riding. I considered this a moderate family trail ride with various rider experiences attending. You do not need to be an expert rider, but be prepared for anything!

If we do not have enough snow to do this ride, we may do a more local ride out of crystal springs, maybe to Easton and some other local areas between the reload sno-park and possibly even Lester if there is snow low enough. Therefore I would pack a lunch just incase we cannot get to Gold creek.

Please come prepared and dress appropriately for all winter riding conditions. We also encourage you to ware your avalanche backpacks, have probes, beacon, shovel and radio communication device if you have them. Bring adequate fluids to stay hydrated, and most important, be prepared to have a great day on the snow!

We are supposed to get a lot of Snow by Saturday morning, so lets keep our fingers crossed.

We will get gas at Gold Creek or Whistlin Jacks. If you can carry extra fuel, then I would bring it along with you. But please have your sleds filled up with oil and gas before you leave the snopark!

Crystal Springs sno-park is located just of I-90 at exit 62.

Please contact me via text or phone call at (253) 297-1774 or drop me an email at gmarkovits@gmail.com and let if your are interested in attending this ride this Saturday.

Thank you,

Glenn Markovits
